No previous convictions, is wanted by the competent authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with his involvement in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami.
On August 4, 2022, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation"), sentenced to 11 years in prison, including five years in prison, the remainder of the term in a strict regime penal colony.
