On March 2, 2021, the Central District Military Court sentenced him to 11 years in a strict regime penal colony under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Participation in the activities of an organisation that is recognised as terrorist in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation"). On June 16, 2021, this sentence was overturned on appeal. On February 13, 2024, he was re-sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime penal colony. Deprived of liberty on September 24, 2019.
