Derendyaev Maksim Ivanovich, born November 5, 1985, lives in Izhevsk. Under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organisation of the activities of an extremist organisation") in connection with membership in a community of Jehovah's Witnesses banned in Russia, he was sentenced to 3 years in a general regime penal colony. He was detained on April 14, 2021, and taken into custody. He was under house arrest from July 9 to September 9, 2021, when he was transferred under a ban on certain actions. On May 13, 2024, he was sent back to custody.
