Akhmetshin Fanis Faritovich, born February 2, 1963, worked as a construction foreman, lived in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Under Part 2 of Art. 205.5 ("Participation in the activities of an organisation that is recognised as terrorist in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation") and Part 1 of Art. 30, Art. 278 ("Preparation for actions aimed at the violent seizure of power, as well as the violent change of the constitutional order") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony with a fine of 400 thousand roubles and restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year on charges of membership in the banned organisation "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami", which, even according to the investigation, did not participate in violent actions.
In custody since February 4, 2015.
